At A Glance: Days Before Mayweather vs Ortiz 2011

 Mayweather vs Ortiz 2011
Watch Mayweather vs Ortiz Fight Live - One press reporter reveals that the clunky Victor Ortiz needs to agree to a rematch clause just so he could land his September 17 match with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. Hopefully, Ortiz still has dreams of facing Pacquiao in the later part of 2012, but the following quote noted by the champion boxer made heads turn his way:
"I don’t care about that," the 24 year old former Kansan said. "I don’t pay attention to that. I am not one of those made champions. I didn’t get here by fighting tomato cans.
"I’m not one of those guys who were fed with a spoon like that. I have a lot of slaps in my face (from critics). This is a great chance for me.
"I plan on being a world champion for 15 years. I didn’t work so hard for this opportunity to let it a slip away," Ortiz said.
"I am definitely going to beat Mayweather."
Now that’s the true spirit of a fighter, no matter what it takes. And even if it isn’t predictable, it’s quite interesting to speculate that there will be a rematch clause, although fans seem to fiddle at the fact that Ortiz isn’t spoon-fed with his training anymore. Lighten up please; Ortiz was trained exactly like a champion. And he knows for a fact that it’s not like they booked him for a fight against Marcos Maidana in order to give him a super tough fight or make Maidana into a hall of famer, even though we all know that’s what happened. The previous fight was supposed to be a segment, that even became an HBO crème de le crème main event after another fight came out a fiasco. Ortiz was speculated to have lost everything to Maidana by ‘accident’ just like what appened to James Kirkland against Nobuhiro Ishida.
Even Ortiz's comeback run was hand-picked beyond any doubt until they matched him with Berto, and yes, then Ortiz lived up to the hype. He himself did that. Victor Ortiz is, it appears, the fighter he was sold as being, and we all know by now that Maidana can really fight. But we're six months away from Victor blowing a win against Lamont Peterson, too. He's lucky to have the chance against Mayweather, even considering he earned it by beating Berto. Let’s see what happens in the upcoming fight, and be there and watch Mayweather vs Ortiz Fight live online. Stay tuned here for more as well.
